Artist statement: My work focuses on themes of loss, change, cycles and rhythms, spiritual and physical journeys, and our connections to each other and the natural world. I am interested in the idea of balance and navigating a path through a complex world. This piece is from my ‘Nesting’ series, created during this pandemic time when I felt a need to be calm, secure and look forward to a time of renewing and re-emerging.

Artist statement: Fall in New England is so beautiful. The end of the hot summer days. The anticipation of the winter ahead. Fall brings with it a special peace over the land. I had heard about this amazing view from a friend. So off I went on a crisp fall afternoon, to hike up the mountain, actually steep hill, to get to the best vantage point. It was everything I had hoped and so much more. It was so beautiful! A perfect example of the best season in New England. There were hawks circling above, the cows

Artist statement: This is Misha. An Abyssinian cat. She loved the sun shining through the window on cold winter days. She would sit endlessly just taking in the warmth of the bright sun on a cold day. I wanted to share this special picture of her in this show as I recently lost her at age 15 1/2 to pancreatitis. She fought a good fight but the disease is a tough one to fight. Misha was a princess and a spitfire with the strength and determination to fight. This photo is in honor of her memory.
