Mads Otis

Artist statement: This piece came out of a spur of the moment session by a lake in my local area. The late Sunday night sun was soft and creating ethereal shadows on the subject. It Illuminates the light with each of us even when we are speckled with markings and shadows.
Frick and Frack
Frick and Frack
Mads Otis

Artist statement: The composition of this piece was a something I had fallen into, the dynamic of the subjects cascading into their expressions. It emmulates the growth and love shared between childhood best friends well into their adolescence. The color and light illuminating the warmth nostalgia can provide as well as a friendly face.
Poster Child
Poster Child
Mads Otis

Artist statement: Captures the idea of a child hiding, being curious but scared to what is beyond their bubble that they've built around themselves. Mimicking a child hiding their mother when they are young. The growth of hiding, from others, from ourselves but staying curious as to why we are scared and possibly even greeting it with a smile.
Sweet Dreams

Melissa Pandina
$800.00

Artist statement: Ursula K. Le Guin says "The creative adult is the child who has survived." I create art for that inner child. It’s survived in all of us to varying degrees, it just needs to be invited to play. Its through that inner child that we experience hope and joy, and beauty feeds it. I aim to capture the spark of a child’s enchanted world and translate it so adults can experience wonder again.
Specific medium: egg tempera and 23k gold

Artist statement: I am a travel and landscape photographer based in Clinton, MA. I moved to New England about three and a half years ago and am still exploring this amazing area, trying to bring its amazing landscape variety to life. There is nothing like climbing a mountain to watch the sun settling over the vista or enjoying the quiet of the early morning woods. As they say in Maine, it is the way life should be.

Artist statement: Over the last 30 years, I have documented one of America's dirtiest bodies of water located in one of the densest population centers, Brooklyn, NY. Once called Lavender Lake, the Gowanus Canal could become the equivalent of San Antonio's Riverwalk once the cleanup of the Superfund site is complete. Now the waterway is being threatened by unbridled development along its shores even before the EPA has finished. Even in its filth, there is beauty.
