Artist statement: I am a certified beach bum, and really enjoy some waves at the beach. I grew up going to the Jersey Shore, and now often head to Rhode Island beaches in the summer. I like the mix of colors in the painting, capturing the mix of colors associated with the beach and water.

Artist statement: Not forgotten is a celebration of a life well lived. Inspired by “thinking of you” bouquets sent after my mother died this past winter at age 100+, I saved the withered blossom because their graceful offerings continued to embrace me with unconditional warmth. In presenting this mixed media collage painting some of the words that come to me are quiet, clarity, enlightenment, organic and natural.

Artist statement: After the passing of my mother at age 100+, time at the easel allowed me to find a resting place. At play were a flood of of memories, thoughts of days past. The moments of staining collage papers, painting and contour drawing gave me the gift of a gentle embrace. The bright colors of the rusted sedum in winter viewed from the studio window reflect the vibrancy of a life well lived.
