Fog Kissed Forest
Natalie McGuire
$499.00

Artist statement: Wanting to explore a specific spot at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park; I added directions to google to route for me. Google sent me on a wild goose chase, I got lost, and arrived at this scene instead of Dune’s overlook. Sometimes when getting lost you find gorgeous landscapes like this one. The fog tried desperately to mute the spring green forest, but it only accentuated its beauty.

Artist statement: I love sharing my passion for noticing the ambiance of a place or still life and creating the experience of it on canvas. My paintings bring me back to the place and time that most intrigued me which I try to communicate to the observer speaking not only to myself but to the viewer. Many times, I can even associate the smells and sounds I experienced while finishing a painting in my studio and/or looking at the painting itself. My goal is for the viewer to be able to now stop and take notice o

Artist statement: Photographing animals is a favorite of mine and the springtime is the perfect time of year to photograph birds migrating through. Patience is a great thing to have when trying to capture small birds as they seldom sit still for a few seconds. Some times you get a little lucky and they hit the right spot at the right time.

Although he studied International Global Policy, he is a talented artist in his own right, and paints and draws as a hobby. I am in awe of his talent.
