Artist statement: Painting with watercolor color is my key to my secret garden, to my way down the rabbit hole, to my very own looking glass. Watercolor is a very fresh, intuitive process that involves layering water-based paint on paper. Every once in a while, I have an inspired moment where I create exactly the effect I wanted - or even more exciting - I produce something that veers from my original idea and exceeds my expectations.
Specific medium: Watercolor on paper

Artist statement: ARTIST STATEMENT MARSHA GLEASON I am feeling a true urgency to paint now—- from instinct, observation, and gut responses— in the practice of Direct Oil Painting. Painting for me reveals: searches and surprises, methods from master teachers, sensibilities and masses of paint. The figure is most compelling to me, as is the paint itself. Together, they give attention to things that matter. It’s all in there, and I’m all in. _____________ .

Evan Guarino
$50.00

Artist statement: Autumn is my favorite season, and I scoured Google Earth all September knowing that I wanted to find a small pond in the shape of a heart to capture during peak foliage. Finally I found own and made a couple of pre-dawn drives into the woods of New Hampshire to make sure I could capture the scene with the right conditions, and here's what I came away with.

Artist statement: When lupine season and Milky Way season overlap, it calls for a trip to the White Mountains. I captured this shot after an evening hike up Cannon Mountain to capture a Milky Way time-lapse, and decided I had just enough energy to stop in at Sugar Hill on my way home for a few more compositions!

Artist statement: My now wife inspired me to take this photo in our last hours of our Hawaiian vacation. We were all packed up, sitting on a small beach frequented by local surfers and paddleboarders, and I commented that the scene was a very interesting composition. She gave me the encouragement I needed to unpack all my camera gear to set up a long exposure that captured the surf breaking on this dead tree.

Artist statement: I had been out on a cold late winter day along the northern MA coastal marshlands. I love the Northern Harrier and I knew she frequented that marshland looking for moles, mice etc. there is however never a guarantee she will flying by. Three times that day she allowed me to enjoy her company by landing on a dead tree branch not far from me. The third time was following a rain storm and then the sun came out and she proceeded to dry her feathers off ….what a gift she gave me!

Artist statement: I was enjoying an early evening watching the creatures of the swamp go about their life. A beautiful Green Heron has finished supper and was relaxing. Suddenly she decided to head off and I snapped her picture. Thinking it was too late in the evening for a picture I didn’t look at it quickly. Much to my surprise the glow of the evening light reflecting off the algae lite up her feathers. Magic.

Magnificent Loon
Magnificent Loon
Lucia Hackett
$150.00

Artist statement: I was out kayaking on a beautiful summer morning in NH. I knew there was a pair of loons with a chick and hoped our paths would cross. However knowing any encounter with a loon is magic. I crossed paths with this single loon and it made my heart flutter when he rose up in the water and his head was backlit by the sun’s reflection off the windows of a home on the hilly background. Perfect timing of the sun and earth’s rotation!
