In 2001, she moved to the US with her family and decided to try her hand at painting. She earned a modern art certificate at the MOMA, became a docent at the Worcester Art Museum and an art instructor at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts. She finds inspiration for her art-making in all of these experiences as well as her life between 2 continents.
